At Internship-UK we currently specialise in two forms of event management. Internal and External Event Management.

From an internal perspective our interns work with our staff to establish company staff events to satisfy the wants and needs of colleagues. For this side of Event Management it will be your responsibility to promote a community atmosphere and manage the work-life balance issues of staff. The aim of the internal side of events is to promote as many opportunities and activities for our staff throughout the year.

Our Event Managers are in charge of organising social gatherings, club nights out, pub sessions and dinner parties, movie nights and sight seeing. It is important to note that all of these events involve a lot of itinerary, financial planning as well as staff management.

For the External side Event Management, our department is responsible for our companies London Tourism projects and Events. The objective of our interns in Event Management is to find out about and analyse the target audience and demographics of large events in London. Conduct market research for our London tourism projects and develop advertising and promotions for events and tours.

It is imperative to the success of our organisation that our Event Management department is extremely organised and well trained with regards to the following fields:

• Research markets to identify opportunities for events
• Liaise with clients to ascertain their precise event requirements
• Making sure all legal, health and safety obligations are adhered to and up to date
• Liaising with marketing and public relations colleagues to promote the event
• Knowledge and awareness of budgeting: cost benefit ratio
• Have a good all round knowledge of marketing, communication, public relations
• Create brand awareness for events
• Coordinate with suppliers, handling client queries
• Ability to produce event critiques and journalism of events
• Supply chain identification
• Post Event evaluation

In addition our Event Managers have to ensure that the content and advertising of theatre tickets and tours are safeguarded that there is no misleading material and that all sales promotions meet trading regulations. Furthermore, to ensure that all sales and services of tickets are optimised and satisfy the end customer.

Ultimately the aim of our Event Management department is to promote and sell event tickets and London theatre tickets to customers via Gift-Tours. In addition, to create and build up partnership with companies throughout London and the UK.
