How long can the work placement last in your company located in the UK?
We are glad to welcome trainees for one month to one year. Our trainees feel very comfortable in the company thanks to the friendly atmosphere here. In the meanwhile our trainees have the opportunity to improve their English everyday among an international team.

Do the trainees need specific work papers to apply for a work placement in the UK?
No specific document is required to meet our work placements'offers. The complete on line application will give us a first impression about the future trainees'skills and then we can assess if their profile meets our UK company's requirements.

Do the trainees need to have particular qualifications to carry out a work placement in one of your international companies?
We do appreciate students from abroad who already have work experience in the field they want to apply for as a trainee. However we will be happy to work with trainees from abroad who have few experience or not at all. Therefore you will be given a training at the beginning of your work placement. You will have the opportunity to work in diverse departments of the company: marketing, sales, human resources etc. If you have any questions about our work placements'offers or if you need any help, please contact us.

When do the trainees receive the answer for the work placement in the UK?
We handle all the applications as soon as possible. If the trainees'profile meet our work placement offers then they will have a phone interview with 2 persons in charge of recruitment if they live abroad. They will have to answer specific questions about the field they want to apply for the work placement. Finally the team will meet to discuss about their application and the CEO will decide whether their application is approved or not.

Is it necessary to work on my English before beginning my work placement in the UK?
English language is the one which is used during working hours, thus our trainees have to be able of communicate easily with their colleagues and international or UK customers. The phone interview is a good way for us to assess their English level and then we will be able to find the most suitable work placement regarding their linguistic skills. Besides as the trainees will practice the English language each day they will strongly improve their language skills and gain work experience. On top of that they will have the opportunity to learn other foreign languages among our multicultural team from abroad.

Do the trainees need a work permit to carry out a work placement in the UK?
The European Union citizens do not need a work permit to carry out a work placement in the UK. However non European Union citizens must provide a valid work permit to gain work experience in the UK which enables them to work full time (40 hours a week). We are not able to provide this work paper. We have the right to ask for your work permit before answering your application.

Is it wiser to open a bank account during my work placement in the UK or to withdraw money from my current account?
For most of the trainees there is no need to open a bank account in the UK. Opening a bank account in the UK is quite complicated, thus bearing all the transaction fees while using your current account is more convenient. Nevertheless if you plan to carry out more than a 6-month work placement in the UK you should open a bank account. You should also check if your bank has a partnership with one of the UK's banks.

Do the trainees need a passport to carry out a work placement in the UK?
If you are a European Union citizen you can travel to the UK with your ID card. However we strongly recommend you to bring your passport. If you come from abroad you need a valid passport.

Where can I get a British sim card for my mobile phone during my work placement?
There are several shops where our trainees buy prepaid sim cards in the UK. Our staff will be glad to help you when you arrive in the UK.

Do the trainees receive a certificate at the end of their work placement?
Students will be given a certificate and a detailed report of what they accomplished during the work placement when they leave the company. If they perform quite well the Direction will provide a reference letter.

If the work placement is not paid by the company how can the trainees finance their work placement in the UK?
The trainees can ask for financial help or scholarships if they do a work placement in the UK. Please ask the persons in charge in your school to know what to do to receive this financial help. The Leonardo scholarship is well-known.

May the trainees get their own accommodation rather than the one provided by the company?
The direction believes that this option is appropriate for students who already have an accommodation in the UK. However all the trainees in New Romney live together. The accommodation provided is affordable and you will enjoy many advantages such as a table football, a billiard table, home cinema, wireless internet access, barbecue, parking etc.

How many students work as trainees in your company?
The number of people working here changes constantly. We have currently 14 trainees in the London office and 16 in New Romney office. The number of trainees may lower or increase depending on the season and ongoing projects.

What will I be doing during my work placement in South UK ?
Your work placement will be divided into 2 parts. For 2 days a week you will take care of UK clients and clients from abroad living in the hotel in New Romney. The rest of the time you will be in charge of a specific position in one of the company departments. You will take care of on line reservations as well as by phone and via the Internet. You will specialize in group bookings and accommodation requests in our sales department.

What can the trainees do when they have time to spare?
The hotel is very close to the beach. Our trainees have the opportunity to enjoy water leisure such as sailing, jet skiing etc. They also have the opportunity to discover the surroundings of New Romney and look up to the coastal landscape by train through the railway of New Romney. The transport facilities enable our students to travel in the UK. You will enjoy many restaurants and pubs and get to know real UK lifestyle!
